...IT'S WHO YOU KNOW
Below is the lead paragraph to a story published recenty in the Harvard Crimson, the Harvard University newspaper.
Note the words "college dropout." The person in question is Blake Gottesman, President Bush's personal assistant. According to the article his jobs include dog sitting and giving the president a two-minute warning before his speeches are about to begin. Oh! He also dated Jenna Bush in high school, according to the paper.
So, for those of you working your tails off to get accepted for, or to finish, your MBA, law degree or other graduate degree, it seems things could have been a lot easier for you if you had dated better in high school.

Are you surprised to learn its not what you know, but who you know?
Are you "angry" because Bush is involved? Would you be this angry if this was Clinton who gave a job to Chelsea's boyfriend?
It doesn't surprise me, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
Crap like this should be exposed whenever possible. When people get what they don't deserve they deserve to take a little flak at the very least.
Why does it always have to come back to Clinton?
Face it, his approval and popularity ratings were twice that of Bush's.
This has nothing to do with Clinton vs Bush. Red vs. Blue. It has to do with cronyism and rich boys taking care of rich boys.
In fact, it's not unlike the way that great mind of GWB's made it to Harvard business school himself.
But, since you brought it up -
Clinton left the country with a booming economy, rising living standards, decreasing crime rates a budget surplus and increased opportunity for all.
Bush? He'll leave behind a hell of a mess ofr everyone - except the top 1/10 of 1 percent.
Your answer re: Clinton says a lot. You would not have uttered a peep if Chelsea's college dropout boyfriend got into Harvard. Thanks for your honesty.
Also, the economy was headed into recession before Bush ever got elected. But don't let the facts get in your way.
The economy was never stronger than when Clinton was in office. Certainly not the early '60s, when Democrats were also in charge.
The policy of letting the rich get richer and leaving the sloppy seconds to the rest of us doesn't work. Even GWB's father called it "voodoo economics."
THOSE are the FACTS!!
i meant certainly not "since" the early 60's
What should anger everyone about this is that this is a kid who was given a pass at completing his college education and given a ticket into one of the best schools in the country, which will no doubt assure him of a secure future. Did another, more qualified student (with a college degree) get bumped for this? I'm sure Harvard is biting its tongue, since the school was likely told "You're taking this kid, find a place for him." It has nothing to do with what administration the kid worked for. Rather, it has to do with the kid being given a special entitlement because of his connections. Sadly, that seems to be the rule in this administration. Heck of a job, Brownie!
